Tube Expanders for thin walled tube is the 800-5 Series mainly used on heat exchangers with thin-walled tubes. Tube sheets can be from 1/2″ up to 2.1/4″ in thickness. Model numbers consist of odd numbers for expanders with an adjustment range of 1/2″ to 1.1/2″ tube sheet thickness, And, even numbers for models from 1.1/2″ to 2.1/4″ tube sheet thickness.
Thus, a 5-roll system avoids the chances of triangulation between 3 rolls. At the same time, using exotic tube material like Hasteloy or titanium and other certain alloys. These alloys, when rolled keep a certain amount of memory of their previous form. For example, if rolled with a three-roll system, the material would try to revert to its original form.
